Snowboard Performance program

Tell me who doesn't know about snowboarding? This modern sport is the fastest growing winter sport and, if you haven’t tried it, you can’t really understand the freedom of shredding fresh powder and letting the fresh, fluffy, white stuff fly all over your head. Whistler is the best place to feel this freedom and we can help you get the most of it. Whistler is the largest and most popular winter resort in North America.  With over 10 meters of snowfall accumulation a year and the longest winter season than anywhere else, Whistler is the ideal place to master your skills and enjoy what we all love so much. For our one-year programs, six months of winter is not enough, so we spend another 8 weeks on snow through spring and summer. Our programs are designed for you to achieve the best results you possibly can.

Our programs are designed and developed for the best results you can achieve. Whistler Blackcomb parks are legendary and offer the best conditions for the winter training. You will be able to progress your skills as a beginner or advance free style snowboarder in just one season. You will be progresing your skills on any terrain features in park, boxes, jumps, rails,..... and our coaches will help you master your favorites. Part of the program is personal training development, personal training programs in gym, trampoline, bikes and skateboarding as well.

X-Games, Olympic Games, World Cup...... dreams? It doesn't have to be. We have students who have become professional riders and are ready to be part of a national team to compete in the Olympic Games.

To ride at the highest level, an athlete has to be strong not only in his technique, but also mentaly and physically. Our all-year-round Athlete Program has all these components and thanks to our world class coaches has been really successful. National coaches and pro riders with Olympic ambitions and World Cup experiences are working with our athletes and helping them to achieve the best results they possibly can.

Program length:

For athletes, precise development is important to have a really detailed and consistent training plan. That’s why our program is one or two years and covers all the aspects needed for our athletes to be successful in the events they will attend.

CSBA-2

Training:

Summer is the time to gain flexibility and strength for the winter season and that is why classes such as trampoline and skateboarding are offered.  There is also more time for indoor study, so clases such a snowboard and sport theory are offered to give students a solid background before the winter training.  Gym training at Meadow Park Sports Centre is an important part of a student’s progression to build the fitness level needed for the long winter. Summer offers countless opportunities to discover the amazing environment surrounding Whistler. We have several team building activities and hike expeditions on the schedule. Even in summer, there is still plenty of opportunity to ride on the glacier so CSBA offers 4 more weeks of riding during the summer.

The winter season is really long and most of the time we ride all day, practice new tricks and enjoy fresh snow under the close watch of our coaches. Gym training at Meadow Park Sports Centre is an important part of an athlete’s progression and has to continue even in winter. Even though training is so much fun, everyone needs a little bit of relax time as well.   We offer an avalanche course and a winter expedition (overnight camping) to practice our avalanche skills in the back country.

To help our students gain as much experience as possible, our academy can provide assistance to get you the work permit for the period of your study.
