English Through Skiing - Ski Instructor Program
Students in this program will attempt ESL English classes in addition to the Sport classes.
Do you want to learn practical English and like skiing? Do you want to be a better skier and understand the technique in English? Is it possible to have fun while you work? Does this sound like something you would like to do? Then, being a ski instructor is exactly what you need.
The goal of the instructor program is to acquire the skills necessary to meet the Ski Instructor Qualifications of Canada - mainly attaining Level I and/or Level II CSIA. With the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance (CSIA) license, it is easy to work all over the world. This license is recognized internationally and meets all the requirements of ISIA (International Ski Instructors Association). Students receive classroom instruction as well as on-mountain instruction to improve both skiing and teaching abilities. Teaching methods, class management, safety and ski instruction are all part of the course. The students take part in training classes to improve physical strength and balance and many hours are spent working on ski techniques. Every class is in English, so when you are working on your qualification you are working on our English as well. Students also take part in English (ESL) classes.
